People not elected to government should not have the power to reshape the government, especially people whose obscene wealth depends on the government functioning a certain way.

This is not a hot take.

It's just plain common sense.

I think it’s pretty clear to Trump

There is a difference between covering or warning about (or even preparing to respond to) Trump's statements and preemptively giving into them.

I think it will be essential that we maintain that distinction going forward.

Trump saying something, especially right now, does not make it so.
