Great to see this out in the open.

Dropping AI pilots isn't a bad thing. It underscores the importance of testing new tech before rolling them out. Particularly in welfare, where the risks of amplifying inequalities and causing real world harm are significant.

This was my concern after seeing the trailers/reviews. I suspect they thought of the title first. There are more interesting/niche defined numbers. Perfect numbers are ripe for "The Perfect Crime". Or Mersenne primes — "The Mersenne-ary"? There must be others.
One episode into Prime Target on Apple TV and I have to tell you, I don’t remember ever having seen a more profoundly stupid thriller. There’s a bit where the guy decides to research prime numbers. He then goes to the university library and searches for work on prime numbers. It has disappeared.

Hard to believe it's 2025 and I still come across digital developers and agencies seemingly unfamiliar with WCAG guidelines or even general accessibility principals.

2025 is …

a perfect square 45 x 45 = 2025.

a sum of cubes: 1³ + 2³ + 3³ + ... + 9³ = 2025

a perfect square when you add 1 to each digit:

3136 = 56²

a perfect square when you increase the first digit by 1:

3025 = 55²

Maybe the only number with all these properties

@schreiberland.bsky.social I'm seeking a reference for the conspiracy theory that the Titanic sank due to too many time travellers, but all I can find are ones about Jack Dawson from the movie being a time traveller. Am I remembering correctly that you mentioned the former theory in a past Fish?

Does anyone know if starting a post with a handle is like a reply, or just like a normal post on Bluesky? Also, are they just called posts here? Someone said they're skeets, but I hate it so no thank you ta.

It's not right to take a hard line on "genAI wrote your application" because, as @jiggott.bsky.social and others note in this thread, any potential "tells" are phrases that a real person may actively choose to use. You can't dismiss an application on that basis alone.
I just finished shortlisting 215 applications for the NHS App Lead Product Manager role.

My back hurts. My eyes hurt. My brain hurts. But here are some things I noticed plus some tips in case you ever want to apply for a role like this in future.
