Acrylic on Watercolor Board - 36" x 24"

If I don't take the time to keep notes during the creation of a painting, I often forget the meaning of symbolism in it. 1/4

81 years ago Parisian people started an uprising in their occupied city, and with the help from the Free French army, their Spanish Republican elements and their American and British allies. We kicked some nazi asses until they surrendered the city on the 25th of August 1944.

I'm currently playing Phantasmagoria 2: A Puzzle of Flesh with my best friend @darkcrowind.bsky.social!

Although Roberta Williams wasn't involved in that sequel, I love it so far. IMO a worthy sequel!

What I also like in this game is the rat lady Blob.

In ancient Rome, when victorious generals held triumphs they painted their faces terracotta-red in imitation of statues of Zeus - a tradition that culminated with the parades of dictators Julius Caesar and Augustus.

I'm just saying, reality is hitting us on the nose with the symbolism at this point

Adore this 1861 piece by Edward Burne-Jones of Theseus and the Minotaur. The off-kilter scale/perspective and dimensionality of it gives it such a dreamy feeling.
