It's astounding how much CO₂ we put into the atmosphere each year by burning fossil fuels.
For comparison, we all agree that plastic pollution is bad, but the mass of ALL THE PLASTIC humanity has ever produced is only 25% of the CO₂ we emitted into the atmosphere in 2025.

I run my air conditioner in reverse during "shoulder seasons". It grabs heat out of the 35-50 deg air and dumps it into my home. Below freezing, I switch to gas furnace.
Using the reverse-air-conditioner (aka heat pump) has cut my fossil gas usage roughly in half during spring/fall.
