Autism is NOT a "trend." Autistic people have always been here. So, "If the spotlight leaves neurodiversity, autism will not disappear. Ultimately, #neurodiversity is about accepting people who have often been outcasts in the community & creating belonging."

Absolutely go f**k yourself. Autism is not a "get out of jail free card" for being an arsehole. Do you know how hard so many autistic individuals work to fit in, to be treated "normally"? This type of crap makes it harder for all of us. Being autistic doesn't give you a pass to be a predator.

Autistic shutdowns are a response to stress. While some autistic people may stop responding entirely, others who usually speak may only be able to say one or two words. If someone stops responding in their usual way, that may mean they are in shutdown mode.
