The 10-year health plan for England is full of ambition & we welcome the acknowledgement that the NHS needs to make big, bold changes in order to be sustainable.

We eagerly await concrete details of how this vision becomes a plan and of how anaesthetists can play their part 👉 buff.ly/FjMmvvb

I’ve spoken with people across Bury St Edmunds & Stowmarket about living with long-term conditions.

Last week, I took their cause to Parliament.

We must tackle disease, and the causes of disease.

Today, we've written to David Lammy MP, calling on the Government to take immediate action to prevent famine in Gaza.

As Israel continues their blockade of humanitarian aid, 1 in 5 people face imminent starvation and hospitals are running out of medicines fast.

An incredibly positive & forward-thinking event to be part of.

Proud that @bhrut-nhs.bsky.social was one of the first trusts to pledge to implement #SASsix and the increasing numbers of national organisations getting on board - @ics-updates.bsky.social being the latest

Let’s keep up the momentum!

Thanks to the @assocanaes.bsky.social for inviting @sascollective.com, and little old me, to come to this event.

It was great to refresh some relationships and meet some new people.

Alternative career pathways are the workforce solution we are all looking for, and the #SASsix is a roadmap.
And thank you to Dr Rob Fleming for introducing the SAS Collective - who they are and their aims.

Excellent motion from Dr Eman Toeima, representing London South.

Motion carried by universal agreement.

We need to gather these data. Knowing how many SAS leaders there are allows us to assess the trends. Measuring this also sets the expectation that this is important.

SAS doctors do need more visibility. Even many healthcare colleagues are not 100% sure what it means when people identify as SAS or their individual SAS grade.

In theatre, at team brief, lets proudly say our name and SAS grade. anaesthetists.org/Portals/0/PD...
