I wrote a really good (imo) reintroduction post for my newsletter but it was based around the premise of it being October but I was too disorganised to get it out and now it’s November

This should be a very easy one for Labour / No 10 comms.
Worth saying that despite asking for more than 12 hours we’ve had nothing back from Labour on this
A Conservative MP tipped as a future party leader has been condemned for saying large numbers of legally settled families must be deported, in order to ensure the UK is mostly “culturally coherent”.

Under Over Over - West Hampstead

So it's taken a while, but I've finally found a location where you can clearly see London Underground trains traveling over London Overground trains.

The vantage point is at West Hampstead Overground station at the end of the platform.

Looking forward to the inevitable TF1 dramatisation of this, with France’s equivalent of Sheridan Smith playing Rachida Dati x

One top tip for waking up at 05:00:

if you grind your coffee beans, make sure you do it the evening before so you don’t have to wake everyone up doing it pre-sunrise

I have woken up at 05:00, made some coffee and done some reading like the books tell me to. Now what?

Gaby for No.10 head of comms!!!!
It’s targeting Reform-y areas & might well be part of an answer to Reform, but billing it as ‘we’re doing it to beat Reform’ sounds cynical. The message should be as Kirsty says joyful - ‘strong communities are good, we want people to have happier lives, feel like they belong, know their neighbours’

The best time to scrap it was 5th July 2024, and then on all of the days since. The next best time is now.

Glad they’re finally seeing sense.
Child Poverty Task Force will recommend scrapping the two child limit according to The Times. But publication is being delayed and no clarity over whether Government will accept the recommendation even though it's coming from two cabinet ministers.

Starmer to be urged by taskforce before the budget to make the change — but it will cost £3bn a year when Rachel Reeves is trying to plug a spending gap
