The president and his movement are deeply, fundamentally anti-American. At least if the Declaration, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, freedom, democracy, free enterprise, and other values U.S. schools taught kids for decades have anything to do with America.

No other conclusion to draw.

I have never seen anything like this in NYC. 5th Ave covered from 42nd St well to the 20s. Nobody prepared for this volume. Volunteers are holding the traffic on all the side streets. No police in sight. #handsoff

If these were regular soldiers or a civilian CIA officer like I was, they would be reprimanded, likely fired, prosecuted and possibly jailed.

But this Administration believes they are above the law — and seemingly don’t care what US forces and US operations they put at risk.

2 lies I hear from the right about the federal government:

"The federal government has gotten so bloated!"

The federal government is the same size it was when Kennedy was president.

"Reagan was the last president to cut the federal government!"

There were MORE fed employees when he left office.

Watergate really starting to seem quaint and nostalgic, both the scope of the crime and the notion of the reporting and response.

Elon Musk couldn't lawfully run for president so he hitched a ride underneath Trump's overcoat and then installed himself as a king.

Both of them have cultish followings. The longer Elon remains in place, the more irrelevant Trump makes himself.
