It's amazing how so many billionaires - who have WAY more money than they could possibly need in 500 lifetimes - REALLY want to avoid paying small slivers of tax money to benefit a common good like social safety services for less fortunate countrymen within the society that made them billionaires.

When your family's life has been radically changed by this, six years ago seems like six decades ago, or a time you could only imagine.
6 years today the first COVID case was identified in a man in Wuhan marking the beginning of a global pandemic that changed the world. We are way less prepared today to face another pandemic than we were back then. This fact makes me sad.

Every time Patriarch Bart sees Leo now, he's gonna ask "Are you wearing that stole I gave you?"

I had the opportunity to attend prayer at the Phanar some years back, thanks to an Orthodox colleague. I was surprised at how small the space is. The Patriarch wasn't there, but it was a moving experience. It happened to be on the anniversary of the fall of Constantinople.

I've somehow learned to concentrate and work through the constant loop of the tarantella playing for ma figghia. Maybe it's just got some of those special thinking waves. Maybe it will come out in my book.

Every single confirmation hearing of every single person appointed by this administration was lies.
Mr. Kennedy said it’s an individual choice as to whether or not to vaccinate.

Then he and his minions started taking that choice away by making FDA approval of some vaccines impossible.

What about the covid that has killed and disabled children?
In a new leaked memo, the FDA outlined plans to make it much harder to get new vaccines approved, claiming, without sharing evidence, that the COVID vaccines have killed at least 10 children.

This is so reckless. The science shows us that COVID vaccines have saved millions of lives.

This is excellent. Not only well-informed in terms of both the Christian and Muslim perspectives, but it also provides some balance to a lot of the mainstream everything-is-interfaith-wonderful reporting on the Pope’s Türkiye trip so far.
