You could teach a whole humanities seminar on this ship, the wreck, and the aftermath. Someone who does interdisciplinary humanities teaching in the great lakes area should probably do that.
This is very cool. I would not have assumed, though it makes perfect sense, how much language he drew from the news article. This would make such a great lesson on primary sources and the different types of documentary evidence, historical memory, and the economic & labor history of the Great Lakes!
