1/ OK, Democratic members of Congress in the US Senate. It’s time for some tough love.

I am aware your pollsters and consultants tell you things like “the American people want us to work together” and “ focus on prescription drug prices in the economy.”

The Democratic Party needs new messaging strategies.
We ALL know this.
The predatory & patriarchal system of the past is broken.
Now is our chance.
Going back to the same tired “establishment” folks who failed us in 2024 is not the way forward.
I truly hope @kenmartin.bsky.social understands this.

No one's blaming Democrats for causing this crisis, but yes, many of them are failing to meet this moment.

One Democratic senator could bring the chamber to a halt. House Dems can go to fed agencies being gutted by Musk with cameras in tow. Governors can push back. State AGs can bring lawsuits.

I’m going to put my rich guy hat on and say I hope that Mexico and Canada issue equal, retaliatory tariffs and stick to them for an extended period.

I apologize to all the people it will cost money and the businesses it will hurt.

But it’s the only way for tariffs to be seen for what they are

On Wednesday, January 29, I mentioned
the battle of Kruty
and the Memorial I visited.
This week, my Members' Letter was about this visit.

I decided to publish some photos I took
of that place.
It will be a brief reminder of the
bravery of Ukrainian youth.

So, photos are here ⬇️ (free access)

Curious what everyone thinks is the best way to have a positive or any impact on the country, during the first 30 days of the new administration.

We are contending with a GOP that knows how to win the most important factor that shapes perception: attention.

Understanding this is step one. Step two is actually changing it. Dems need a whole new strategy.

Fighting the attention war is a key part of my platform.

Epic courage here.
Wow. Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde fearlessly calls out Trump and Vance to their faces. This is heroic.

Since my history course
is near this beautiful spot (Landscape Alley)
and I plan to visit for 21 Sundays,
I'll try to capture the views weekly.

We'll witness the seasonal changes
and varying weather
(and I hope the end of the war 🇺🇦).
So, here's week one.

It was a calm night here.
I slept so well

Anyway,

I've been lucky to have Stacey Abrams as a friend, mentor, and advisor. Her work in Georgia has inspired the permanent campaign and voter protection infrastructure that supercharged our historic wins in Wisconsin.

Now I’m honored to have Stacey’s endorsement for DNC Chair.

Morning from Kyiv.
Night? It was with drones and loud work of air defence.
The morning started with a missile threat.

Luckily, we have power.
I made a #warcoffee.
My plans for today are incredibly fragile.
