I wouldn’t discount the total market collapse either!
This piece is a great illustration of how the long-term effect of Trump’s destruction of US institutions won’t be felt in a dramatic market collapse, but rather in permanently worse economic conditions, and lower prosperity.

Remember a few weeks ago when Trump brought in a couple bulldozers and demolished about a third of the White House? That was weird.

He already sent a lynch mob to chase Congress out of the Capitol and it was a skin-of-their-teeth miracle they didn't manage to get their hands on any of them.

It's a big deal, but shouldn't be framed as shockingly new. It is his longtime position that murdering his political opponents is good.

The Blue Jays pushed the Dodgers to the limit in that incredible Monday game and tonight as well. Toronto proved to the world that they're at the top of the league, and there's no shame in that. Even if the Jays didn't win it all, you can't get any closer than they did tonight.

1000% this.

The 2025 Jays played with guts and skill the entire season, came into the postseason the consensus favourites to get eliminated immediately, and fought the juggernaut that had been the betting favourite to win it all to a bloody battered draw. Keep your misery in its lane, Leaf fans
Not to pick on this particular person but this was absolutely not a choke job and hadn't been the entire series. The Jays aren't the Leafs. The Dodgers were expected to walk away with the series, we made them work for every single hit. This is simply the outcome of a very close game and series
One of the greatest choke jobs in sports history. A Toronto tradition
