95 years ago today, the Lowell Observatory announced they had found the elusive ninth planet, which they named #Pluto.

They were wrong.

Why is Pluto not a planet? Here's my latest Substack article, "Pluto is Not a Planet."

Our photo group did a night hike to reach this special and secretive spot in the salt flats of the Altiplano in Chile. I did a 20 second exposure with a 14mm lens, while a flashlight revealed this incredible blue lagoon. Another otherworldly place on Earth.

Just a reminder that your local library has more than books! Many also have dvds, cds, video games, game systems, internet hot spots, streaming services, ebooks, audio books, park passes, museum passes, and so much more! Maybe it's time for a visit! ❤️📚

I just had the most amazing night. We are in Reykjavik, Iceland chasing my dream of seeing the Northern Lights for the 2nd time - first time in Alaska there was too much cloud cover. I was crying, lights were dancing, it was truly magical. 🧪🛰️🚀👩🏻‍🔬🔭

Please don't call what RFK Jr. and Jay Bhattacharya are going to do medieval. It's not medieval. It's nothing like the Middle Ages. People in the Middle Ages were happy to try all kinds of things to not die of the plague and if you'd given them antibiotics and vaccines they would have loved it.

This is a fascinating talk about the work they do in the NRQZ to assess reasonable limits for radio transmissions in the area. There are a lot of technical, and people management issues. 🔭🧪

Yet another person finding a new home here! I’m into space diplomacy, Borges, and resisting the void of modern architecture.

If I followed you it’s because you seem interesting and we have some things in common :) Feel free to follow back— I’m excited to connect with cool people!

The German Space Agency has a cool outreach project: The SpaceBuzz One is a truck resembling a rocket, offering a 15-min VR spaceflight experience. Participants sit in motion seats, wear VR headsets, and explore Earth from an astronaut's view, before their virtual moon journey.
