Hello Blue Sky! Please allow me to introduce myself. I have been doing deep sky astro imaging for 16 years and recently got into travel photography for nightscapes and landscapes in far off beautiful places. So much to see and learn and happy to be here and share my work and to be inspired 📸
Comet A6 Lemmon's closest approach to the Sun is on November 8th, 2025. I took this image on October 29th showing a huge increase in activity around the core. A very zoomed in shot using a 16 inch telescope f/18, 7400mm focal length with Canon R6.

Happy Halloween Bluesky! Here is a ghostly phantom of the night, Comet A6 Lemmon. Taken with a 300mm telescope and luminance filter, 60 X 1 minutes exposures stacked. Dust and gas flow from the head blown by the solar wind.

Comet A6 Lemmon is very dynamic. Moving closer to the sun, the dust tail (yellow) is increasing and the bluish ion tail is being slammed by the solar wind. Captured it the morning of Oct. 14 with my 12 in telescope and filters. 1 hour total exposure time

I captured Comet Lemmon early October 7, 2025. Using my 300mm Ceravolo telescope and CCD camera. About 30 minutes of total exposures using LRGB filters. The tail is much longer than shown in this 1 degree field of view.

During my two week visit to Ireland, I got one clear night for astrophotography. A single 20 second shot using a Canon R6 and Sigma 14mm, f/1.8 lens. This is the Screeb fishing hut in Connemara, Ireland.

A beautiful spiral galaxy with many star birth regions in pink nebulosity. M33, the Triangulum Galaxy. 17 hours of total exposure times including hydrogen-alpha. Taken with my Ceravolo 300mm telescope at f/9 with an SBIG STX 16803 ccd camera.

Bright planet Venus and Jupiter rise early August 12, 2025. Overlooking the town of Osoyoos, BC. A single 5 second exposure.

This beautiful galaxy, ngc 7331, has a new supernova at its centre. Taken on July 28th, 2 weeks after it was discovered. For a short time, this star that violently exploded will outshine its own galaxy and then fade from view. Capture with my Ceravolo 300mm telescope.

I love the summer Milky Way in dark skies on my mountain in southern BC. A small lake reflects our galaxy on a quiet and enchanting night. 9 frame panorama taken with a Canon R6 and Sigma 14mm lens.

Star trails around the North Star show our axis of rotation to the north. This is a total of 4 hours of exposures with the Earth spinning at 1600kms per hour. No wonder the days seem to go by so fast! A mild aurora completed the scene. Taken from my home in BC.

When in France on a workshop to photograph the white horses of Camargue, this is the shot I was hoping to get. These beautiful horses running through the marshlands, their natural habitat with a young foal that was born in the wild. They turn white as they mature.

My recent quest for photography adventures led me to the coastal region in the south of France where the famous and beautiful white horses of Camargue live.

I call this piece 'unhinged'. Kolmanskopp, an old abandoned mining town in Namibia, Africa. A place where the desert is re-claiming its place. a reminder that nothing lasts forever. This is a photographers playground.

The weather is not the only thing that changes with the seasons. As we journey around the Sun, the night sky scenery also changes. The bright stars of winter will soon be in the daytime sky. Goodbye Orion, see you in the fall.

Total lunar eclipse/Blood Moon March 13/14, 2025. I made this montage to visually show the actual size of the Earth's shadow cast into space and across the Moons face. I used a 1000mm mirror lens. It was a beautiful night.

Eyes on the full blood moon late tonight. Total lunar eclipse in all of North America including Canada, US and Mexico. Rather symbolic don't you think?

The Leo Trio. It's no coincidence that these 3 galaxies are together in one frame. Focal length 1500mm. They are actually close together, so much so, their gravity is tugging on each other. Total of 40 hours of data from my backyard in BC, Canada.

Hamburger anyone? This is ngc 3628, the Hamburger Galaxy. It's quite fluffy with meat in the middle😀. It's in the constellation Leo that is part of a trio of galaxies that are tugging on each other. You can see the tidal stream of stars coming off it?

The blue stars are in a cluster that are moving together in space in our galaxy, this is M7. All the other stars are in the centre of our galaxy. My God, it's full of stars!

Just above the famous Orion Nebula resides its little brother, the Running Man Nebula. Often overlooked due to its proximity to the brightest object in our sky. I used my Ceravolo300mm telescope (2700mm focal length) and narrowband filters. Colours are true.
