If you saw this week's John Oliver @lastweektonight.com, KYUK is one of those underresourced remote public media outlets that serves mostly-Indigenous listeners, many lacking internet, many in need of local emergency news during events like last month's storm.

Please donate!
KYUK, one of the few sources of local news and native language programming in the region devastated by last month's storm, lost federal funding that was up to 70% of its budget and plans to make cuts in January.

(From @npr.org)
Alaska station that covered devastating storm cuts jobs
KYUK public TV and radio station in Western Alaska serves dozens of villages damaged by Typhoon Halong. But with federal funding eliminated, KYUK makes severe cuts to its staff and news department.

TODAY Harvard should
1) Donate to orgs for victims of sexual abuse
2) Revoke his University Professorship. (Non-academics: this is a loss of prestige, not loss of job. Latter is longer process.)
3) Cancel his classes but instead of giving him a paid leave, make him clean every dept fridge on campus
A senior academic using mentoring as leverage to obtain sex is a contemptible abuser of power.
Summers conferred with Epstein frequently about how to extract sexual favors from a Harvard econ grad (AB '04, PhD '09)

The grad is from China

Epstein and Summers referred to her by the codename "Peril"

Racism and sexual exploitation in one efficient package

Bitcoin now consuming as much energy as the entire country of Pakistan.

That seems bad.
The people at CBECI were kind enough to send me a copy of their updated Bitcoin power consumption data

At the end of 2024, Bitcoin's total consumption for 2024 *did* end up matching that of Pakistan. 2024 saw the biggest jump in power consumption ever. Absolutely wild stuff ->

Kris Shrishak and Abeba Birhane say policymakers should stop peddling in unscientific discourse about “AGI” and “superintelligence,” and instead uphold their duty to serve citizens rather than cater to the whims of tech CEOs.

Why does Ca$h Patel always look like he's been doing crystal meth for years without a break?
Today is November 15, 2025 and vile crybaby pedo protector Dan Bongino knows how dirty Donald is. Worst FBI employee ever.

Still don’t understand how people could find it acceptable to vote for a man who has been so evil publicly for decades.
As rumors fly that Trump has suffered a stroke, I was reminded that the motherfucker has always been a loathsome piece of shit. To make more money with a different tenant, Trump threw 74-year-old widow, Mary Filan, who had recently suffered a stroke out of her Queens apartment.

ICE’s arresting Atlanta journalist, Mario Guevara, is another sign of fascism.

He’s not a criminal but now he will be cause they are charging him with obstruction, unlawful assembly, and improperly entering a roadway.

And all he was doing was reporting on a protest and ICE arrested him.
