🚨The @college-de-france.fr just canceled a conference on Palestinien history organized by one of its faculty.
Absolute shame on them for caving in to Zionist bullies and, thereby, betraying the values of academic freedom they claim to uphold 1/

Marie Curie was born #OnThisDay 1867.

Madame Curie visited Glasgow in 1929, being hosted by Professor Archibald Young and Mrs Anna Young.

Here is a photo of Irene Curie, Madame Curie, and Mrs Young enjoying the fresh Scottish air at Loch Fyne 😅

This new take on object agency is groundbreaking and beautiful! The lines between art and artefacts are conceptual at best, so seeing this meld gives us room to consider artefacts in a new way.

Just love it. #archaeology #heritage

🏺🧪 My most recent #BadZooarch post is from last year, where I finally sat down and tried to figure out why the hell people seem to love these horribly inaccurate and downright bad to look at animal skeleton decorations to begin with.

Museums designed for quiet contemplation now also have to accommodate phones and selfies. Not saying it's bad - just different. The question is how to adapt without losing what makes these spaces special. The challenge is to design an experience where the phone is included, but doesn't take over.

It’s always fun to make archaeological excavations as tangible as possible, including for those who can only connect digitally. We created these 3D interactive images with phone lidar/photogrammetry

Saw abstract for research article -- it suggested affective engagement w/ historical content increased using particular games vs a text but knowledge test scores better w/ text.
