We've been tracking lawsuits from the moment he was sworn in, identifying at least 328 and counting.

This point is especially important. The EO on "gender identity," for example, is biologically and historically incoherent and inaccurate, but the point is to make those lies true, to make those non-existent "natural" categories "real," via the exertion of state power.

Well, I watched two flops today - Joker: Folie à Deux and The Samaritan.

As much as I wanted to like Joker 2, the good acting couldn't rescue an awful script.

The Samaritan, on the other hand, was a bit shallow but really enjoyable for what it was.

My dogs slept through both. As they do.

Trump: "We're gonna do things that have been really needed for a long time," he said. "One day voting, voter ID, proof of citizenship."

If the plan doesn’t include free IDs, automatic registration, and a voting holiday, it’s not about fairness—it’s about suppression.

I didn't expect the SCOTUS case to go well, but it sounds like it went even worst than I expected.
Here is my write up in @thenation.com about yesterday’s awful anti-trans hearing at SCOTUS.

If I made the arguments Alito and Barrett made when I was in law school, I would have gotten an F. Unless my professors were bigots like them.
The Supreme Court’s Hearing on Trans Rights Was Bigotry Masquerading as Law
The conservative majority spent much of the oral arguments for US v. Skrmetti trying to erase the trans community.

🧵 WHY WERE HUNTER BIDEN'S CASES UNPRECEDENTED?

(1/5) Hunter Biden was investigated for FIVE years by the DOJ.

After FIVE years of investigations, the Trump-appointed US Attorney, David Weiss, in Delaware agreed with Hunter's lawyers to a non-prosecution agreement.
Hunter Biden’s TWO criminal cases were political prosecutions in order to attack President Joe Biden.

The DOJ pursued unprecedented charges after a high-pressure campaign by Trump and his surrogates.
BREAKING: President Biden is expected to issue a pardon for his son Hunter Biden, according to a senior White House official.

Label services can be very useful. The Bluesky Mod service is automatic, but there are several others.

Do a search for the account name, and on the profile page you'll find an option to subscribe to the label service. Then you'll typically have the option to select behavior for each label.
New user tip! Please make sure that you select the appropriate labeler to direct your report too when you make a report! You should see something like this in the interface that will let you choose the appropriate labeler. Moderators will appreciate this!
