Don’t violate your policies? Well I’m at least one former Spotify listener who believes morals should be above profits. Spotify is no longer allowed in my home or devices.

Spotify Says ICE Recruitment Ads Don’t Violate Company Policy
In the past few months, a number of artists have moved to take their music down from Spotify. The list includes Massive Attack, Sylvan Esso, and King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, among many others. ...

We now have anonymous billionaires paying the wages of American troops.

Does anyone see the problem?

Maybe we should all apply and then wash out of the academy.
Omg, this detail from CNN about the ICE hiring snafu is wild. This seems like an HR 101 level thing to get right.

They turned a hiring bonus into something much closer to an application bonus.

Seems like a great way to burn a ton of cash. Also? Here’s some waste for sure!

Free taxpayer money! Sounds like everyone should flood the application process.. perhaps having them actually hire people who actually believe in following the rule of law. Take them over from the inside?

Ronald Reagan found Donald Trump annoying & avoided him. Trump spent years trying to reach him and failed, Reagan saw him as a loudmouthed rich moron with a large ego, and wanted nothing to do with him.

Trump stood in line to get his picture taken with him at a meet & greet.

Why are companies bragging about record profits who pay their workers so little they depend on social services? If your company takes government subsidies, you should have to Pay people living wages and cannot take yearly bonuses until you no longer accept the subsidies.
I’m good with my taxes subsidizing social welfare for people who can’t afford food.

I’m enraged with my taxes subsidizing corporate welfare to businesses that won’t pay a living wage.

So, yeah, please, please, please support your local libraries. See if you can make financial donations. Use the hell out of your library card. Go to library programs.

We are there to help you but we need help too.

This is your reminder to be VERY patient with your libraries as they deal with the loss of what might be their primary vendor.

It’s a hot mess.

Many libraries are nearing the end of their contracts with vendors and have to go out to bid.

But the 2 remaining vendors are swamped.

Those of you not in library work need to understand the impact of this. Libraries in my state are getting cold calls from Amazon wanting to get into libraries. They know the closure is going to make a huge impact on libraries nationwide.

There’s at least one library I know (a fairly large one) who is stuck because they’re needing to go out for bid on a new contract but the two principal remaining vendors are just too overwhelmed to respond.

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.

All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.
