This is what happened to my Grandfather in Frankfurt, Germany on 9th November 1938, commonly known as Kristallnacht.
In Portland, Oregon, masked ICE GOONS abducted and vanished US citizen Gonzalo Catalan last week. Tragically, his family remains unaware of his whereabouts and has not received any communication from him as of today.

It's the stupidity.

Excellent essay, well worth the read, and not as long as the Guardian claims.

A critique of pure stupidity: understanding Trump 2.0
If the first term of Donald Trump provoked anxiety over the fate of objective knowledge, the second has led to claims we live in a world-historical age of stupid, accelerated by big tech. But might th...

Here's the video Trump just posted to Truth Social, with the claim that 11 people aboard the boat were killed.

There is zero evidence of self-defense here. Looks like a massacre of civilians at sea.

Even if they had drugs aboard, that's not a capital offense.

This exercise by @jamellebouie.net on "How many Slaveholders were there, really?" (youtu.be/pRs2Xu1FWR4?...) is really impressive and honestly I think should be a mandatory watch for *ancient* historians thinking about the slave societies we study.

Millions of us first listened to classical, opera, and other music genres via PBS and NPR.

The right yells about the destruction of Western civ and culture, but aren't really interested in cultural preservation. If they were, they'd support funding for public broadcasting, the arts and humanities.

The fact that the most powerful Republican officials in the nation don’t understand Monetary Policy 101 is an important detail that too often goes overlooked.

MIKE JOHNSON: My opinion is that we should reduce interest rates. The American economy is hot.

CNBC: But if it's too hot, you don't want to cut rates.

Can confirm this email is authentic — and about nothing in it is true.

Social Security income is still taxed. This bill does nothing to change that.

It’s willful disinformation on the part of SSA. It’s a lie.
Hi, I think a lot of us received e-mails from SSA saying that social security will no longer be taxed - and that somehow there is "enhanced deductions" (how much enhancement can you make to 0?) for those over 65. What part, if any, of this is true? Thank you!
