There are 18 million cancer survivors in the U.S. That’s 6x more than there were 50 years ago, thanks to decades of progress driven in large part by federally funded research. We can’t go back.

Since we passed the Affordable Care Act, Republicans have tried over and over to repeal it. And over and over, they’ve failed — in part because millions of people now depend on the ACA for quality, affordable health care.

This will subvert Preventative Services in our healthcare system. I teach Nurse Practitioners that this is a reliable source to use during decision making cancer screenings. Dismantling the USPSTF advisory board is a guarantee we will move further away from making America healthy again.

Here's what #NJ07 Rep Tom Kean Jr calls "protecting Medicaid" - $3.6 Billion/year cut from healthcare in NJ, 360,000 NJ residents losing coverage.

His website says healthcare must be "affordable to every American." His actions say the opposite.

"Women are PIs on 58% of the canceled grants, although they are PIs on only 34% of all active NSF grants.

Similarly, Blacks are PIs on 17% of the terminated grants, although they make only 4% of the total pool. Hispanic PIs and those with disabilities were twice as likely to lose a grant."
Another scoop from Jeff Mervis (@policyhound.bsky.social): NSF's ~1400 grant terminations have disproportionately affected PIs from groups underrepresented in science: women, racial & ethnic minorities, & those with disabilities. 1/3

Retweeting this 1000x.
The message is: crowd large.

Many politicians, administrators, and business leaders, in bowing to Trump, have drawn confidence and comfort from the perceived vibe shift.

Events like this puncture that delusion.
You can stop asking where the mass opposition is. It's everywhere.
People poured out to protest not only what Trump has done—and what they fear he will do next.
