This book is riveting and so, so infuriating. It follows 5 families in Atlanta who are struggling to remain housed and paints deeply compassionate portraits of each unit. It reads almost like a novel but is outstanding journalism

I took three days off to pack up moving boxes in my basement. My God. How much destruction, how much worse the world has become in three days. Start locally. Show up and fight back and take pictures of license plates and put yourself between ICE and innocents at every turn. Know your rights. Resist!
