People getting rabid over movies & filmmakers failing their purity tests and I dunno man. It’s movies, not global politics. If Eric Trump decided he wanted to direct action movies I bet I would watch that shit religiously. Movie stars are knuckleheads. Studios are evil. Find your heroes elsewhere.

It’s been gratifying lately to hear some nice feedback for my book 3,190 NEW IDEAS BEFORE BEDTIME. It had not occurred to me that readers might find the book ‘helpful’, but apparently the ideas are being used to generate writing prompts, as oblique strategies, and for bibliomancy.

Yesterday I did reshoots for my short film AND shot a second one.
This is great, but I do want to point out what we did afterwards: we were gonna have a drink and watch Halloween movies, but instead we all went home and slept. We were pooped!

This, I think, is a useful frame for AI. Synths were absolutely technology that replaced human artistry. Only when synths were used to create unique sounds, as a tool for expression, did they find a place in the future.
So until the AI guys talk like this, all they are selling is advertising.
