My colleague just released a new error handling #crate for #rustlang called rootcause and it's quite neat! (although I haven't had a chance to play with it yet...): github.com/rootcause-rs...

There's also a bit of discussion happening here: old.reddit.com/r/rust/comme...

New @thealg0rithm.bsky.social album day! 🤘💻🎸🎹🤖🔥

On the first listen, it sounds amazing! It seems to have that certain je-ne-sais-quoi back that I feel was a bit missing from the previous album.

“We adopted #rustlang for its security and are seeing a 1000x reduction in memory safety vulnerability density ... with Rust changes having a 4x lower rollback rate and spending 25% less time in code review, the safer path is now also the faster one.”

Ugh, the rubber "skin" of my Logitech MX Master 3 just started having bubbles 😞 There doesn't seem to be any easy way to replace it, which is a shame as it still works great and have been happy with it...

Holy crap, thanks to #WordsUnravelled I just learnt that Cheryl/Carol's pet ocelot Babou in #Archer is a direct reference to Dali's real pet ocelot 🤯

Hello, friends! After 10(!) years of #AdventOfCode, I've made some changes to preserve my sanity: there will be 12 days of puzzles each December (still starting Dec 1) and there is no longer a global leaderboard. Read more:

As someone who's always hated public speaking since I was a child, it's wild to see my 11yo daughter loving it, winning a public speaking competition at her school, being part of the debating club, going to a debating camp soon... 🤯

I love it so much when my kids are better than me at something ❤️

Recently had to call some GitHub API from #rust, so shout out to the octocrab crate. It's quite complete and actively maintained, but also made the whole authentication business (esp. using a GH App installation) a breeze!
