I just did a stupid.
Someone reported a specific game not working on a MiSTer core, so I
*Grabbed the game
*Installed it in an emulator
*Saved out the memory
*Disassembled it
*trawled the memory for the suspect code...
*...fired up the core to see what was happening.
want to guess how that went?

*Apricot were around first.
*Apple wanted to be in the phone book before Apricot
*Acorn wanted to slip in before Apple
*The Dutch.... went with Tulip. Why? Aardbei (strawberry) was right there and basically unbeatable.
Why throw away a victory like that?
