The argument here seems to be we need to be happy when people use democracy to do terrible things or they will do terrible things without democracy.

The thing about his bandaged hand is that it's not like the hand is the only or even the best place to get an IV. Either he's obstinately insisting on the hand or he's completely shot numerous veins on both forearms. Meaning whatever this is has been going on for a long while.

It occurs to me that the "grown ups" containing him "for the good of the country" last time actually did us all a disservice. If he'd been surrounded by these goons then, he would have been gone in six months.
