Having trouble imagining a context in which Thomas Chatterton-Williams is the best at anything. The best at being a useful idiot? I think Clarence Thomas has that sewn up. The best at not realizing he's one of the faces the leopards want to eat? Too much competition.

I've actually been there, in a much more mundane way. Everyone I was there with has wanted to recreate it forever after. We meet up and reminisce. No success stories I know of. Kenan sounds like the smartest person in show business to me.

Just spit balling. Assuming we're aiming inauthentic, I think you take two small romaine leaves, top each with meat and cheese, put diced tomatoes on one side, sandwich them together, then insert this lettuce wrap into the cone.

I think the main things to replace are the flour tortillas with corn and the sugar cones with an oven and food safe silicon mold. And then whatever you want in your tacones.

How do you "load" a tacone? It feels important that it's not just layered bottom to top. I.e., meat, lettuce, tomato, cheese. Maybe mix the filling in a bowl then scoop it in?

That to me still sounds a lot like a computer with a lot of peripherals. I'm far from certain that we will get there (either soon or later), but I don't see any reason it should be a physical impossibility. I don't think we're on the right course now, fwiw.

Yes, this is the hype machine that's overselling the thing that doesn't understand and doesn't have understanding as a goal, from an engineering perspective. It's fundamentally not designed to know.

As intended! My point, that I didn't have the characters for, is that I don't think we have hardware now for which we could write software that would achieve GAI. I'd say there's nothing about the human brain that's so unreplicable. It's just computational complexity we can't replicate yet.
