Fellow boycotters! I am fully devoted to a long-term boycott of all these big businesses that rolled over and showed their bellies to fascists, but that means I need recommendations for decent business chains and alternative services. Is this out there already in some form?

I’m pretty sure the word for this is “mafia” and it is incompatible with a free democracy.

I’m also positive this can be overcome by politicians banding together to make the right choices.

HPV vaccine has been shown to reduce cervical cancer incidence by at least 90%. A new report (below) shows that the incidence of precancerous lesions has dropped by about 80% since 2008 as well. The Secretary of HHS, Mr. Kennedy, claims that HPV vaccines *cause* cancer.

I love me some urban fantasy, but if I have to figure out intense interpersonal dynamics, complex multi-species social class hierarchies, and an entire system of magic rules in the first chapter, imma have to pass.

I keep seeing people say, why isn't anyone doing anything?

So I'll say something that seems obvious to me but may not be to others.

People -are- doing stuff. They're just not posting about it. People who can't keep quiet are a liability.

My research was with a parachurch founded by a famous televangelist who believed that (1) for Jesus to return, Israel had to be in the hands of the Jews and (2) wealth was a sign of God’s favor. So expect a large portion of American Christians to see this as a good idea.

I mean, literally, the answer to this is "I am federally prohibited from telling you anything about my students without a subpoena or judicial warrant; if you have a subpoena or judicial warrant, please submit it to [Legal Officer/Office] to ensure it is in compliance with all relevant federal laws"
If you have students who are trans no you don’t. If you have students of color who may be affected by ICE no you don’t. If anyone asks you gender or racial the makeup of your class you don’t have to tell them.

Protect your class and protect your students by not complying in advance. They trust you.
1. Breaking News: Donald Trump has signed an executive order targeting trans youth and teachers in schools who teach for them.

It goes after "social transition" and threatens arrests.

I will go through line by line, as I have the last 3 nights.

In billionaire romances the MCs are secret golden retrievers who rescue abused women and single-handedly fund camps for at-risk teens—they don’t openly dismantle democracy. Maybe we should take a break from glorifying the wealthy and instead reflect on why the vulnerable need rescuing.
