This week, I’m hosting The Daily Show Tuesday through Thursday.

It’s my first time hosting anything on TV. Ever.

I’ve spent years writing behind the scenes, learning from truly great and talented people. Now, for three nights, I get to sit at the desk and do it myself.

Seriously, though: Nothing could more seriously damage a person’s reputation these days than to have Donald Trump say something nice about you.

That’s especially true in Canada.

@felixsalmon.com On your recent podcast you mentioned a friend who wanted to be paid every time someone borrowed her book from a library. She's right! Many countries (not including the USA) have a Public Lending Right for this very purpose.

New York City has just done what too many growing cities are afraid to do, including our own: confront gridlock head-on with a proven solution. #Opinion

By Toronto avoiding congestion pricing, we’ve ensured the very outcomes we sought to avoid: more traffic, more pollution and greater frustration.

I went undercover as an Uber Eats courier and made just $1.74 per hour online. Here’s what I learned about the troubling cost of convenience
For six weeks, I hustled for orders and made a shockingly low wage. Uber says my experience was 'atypical' — but workers I spoke to say differently.
