Went to the new David Hockney exhibition at the Annely Juda Gallery. Worth a look if you’re near Regent Street, and it’s free.

It’s high time people stopped apologising to the orange shitgibbon and told him to stick his head where it fits best.

Without asylum:

Marks and Spencer wouldn't exist

Queen would have been without a front man

The other queen wouldn't have had a husband

Judith Kerr would never have written The Tiger Who Came to Tea

And thousands of less famous people wouldn't have been teachers, politicians, neighbours, etc

The NHS did a good job during covid despite the Conservative government, not because of it.

Not the greatest start to the day. A letter recalling Tom to the Eye Hospital as a result of his latest check-up. I can see conversations about corneal transplant happening over the next few weeks.
Hmmmm.

Just trotted around the village to check the flooding situation. Not bad at all! A similar level of rainfall in Jan left 34 homes & a Supported Living place uninhabitable. This time, a flooded ford.
Well done Leics CC, Harborough DC & @severntrentwater.bsky.social for all the flood alleviation work

Phoebe is *so* going to be on the hot curry's, raspberry leaf tea & energetic sex - just to get this baby out as soon as possible so that Kate will go home.
Except, of course, that Kate won't.....

Had a fascinating afternoon with the Leics SEND Transitions Gp, learning how the Shared Lives program works. Hilarity as we realised that we could all get £600pw tax free if we just swapped our kids with each other....

*sighs* Eighteen flood warnings for Leicestershire, two of them for our village.
It's looking ok at the moment but am concerned about later on today when the full force of the water coming off the fields hits the river.

Very unhappy that my best friend has Covid. She is Clinically Vulnerable (& daughter is CEV) but wasn't eligible for a vaccine this year - despite having COPD & CRPS.
Now very ill - & still has to care for daughter.

Having had a fabulous hour at ##LuxMuralis, am now at The Little Theatre to see 'Things I Know To Be True', directed by my fabulous friend, Nadine, who is as talented a Director as she is an Audio Describer & Access Consultant.
Felix has Tom & I'm doing all the stuff that wouldn't work for him!

Absolutely blown away by #LuxMuralis at Leicester Cathedral. The most stunning Son et Lumiere.
