BIG SUNSPOT ALERT: This is the same behemoth sunspot that Mars rover Perserverance saw from Jezero Crater last week. Now it is turning toward Earth. Strong geoeffective flares are increasingly likely as the sunspot lines up with our planet in the days ahead. spaceweather.com/images2025/2...

Creating a military conflict with Venezuela gives this administration a legal "hook" to invoke the Alien Enemies Act. In other words, the foreign war is being manufactured in order to facilitate court deference for its domestic mass deportation policy. It's a Stephen Miller Special.

It isn't a plan to end the war. It's a plan to let us regroup so we can invade again.
The plan to end the war in Ukraine doesn’t ensure peace—it ensures profits for Trump’s inner circle.

We must protect russian money better than Ukrainian kids. This is the law and will encourage tyrants to always follow it..
Do not finance the loan with the frozen Euroclear assets! It's not legal. Our EU government should set the example by abiding by its own and the international laws, otherwise it cannot expect from its citizens to do the same. Belgium is right and correct to resist these plans.

We've spent decades saying it isn't for European countries to decide if they can join NATO, it's for Moscow to decide cos "NATO promised not enlarge". Now we're upset Europe isn't involved in ending a war we say NATO caused with Moscow.
Has anyone even noticed that, in the current framing of a Peace Plan for Ukraine, Europe has been given the same role as Namibia or New Zealand (i.e. none)? This is the price Europe is paying for being Washington's lackeys for so long: utter irrelevance www.theguardian.com/world/2025/n...

The US buildup of forces is of no concern to Venezuela or anyone else. These movements meet all international law, and any talk otherwise is just "mainstream media" trying to start WWIII & justify another obscene order for Russian weapons from Venezuela.

Apparently that's how this works.
Over sixty political leaders from across Europe have issued an urgent warning against what they describe as a “prelude to invasion” of Venezuela, denouncing the escalating presence of U.S. naval and air power in the Caribbean.
European political leaders warn US “No War on Venezuela”
Jeremy Corbyn, Manon Aubry, Yanis Varoufakis, Irene Montero among dozens urging Europe to oppose U.S. military buildup.

Most people hear “heat pump” and think of small air-source units at home. But Germany is building one of the world’s largest heat pumps in Mannheim: a 162 MW river-source system using heat from the Rhine.

Big reminder that heat-pumps scale far beyond households — they can decarbonise whole cities.

It's somewhat amusing that you can pass yourself off as a Russia expert commenting on this "peace deal" as messy but at least "a way to end the war" without realising Kremlin sees it as just a tactic to continue it later.

It will end nothing.
