Seeking representation for my YA contemporary manuscript "Borderline"
It is 2024. Can we make returns of online purchases not a big deal. I understand smaller creators, but medium-large companies? Y'all need to get with the program

My mom just called me to say she's gotten into writing her own story, just dabbling with a contemporary romance! I'm so happy she's found joy in writing and came to me to share her WIP. 📚💙 It's becoming a family hobby

Love seeing a story from Aboriginal voices, especially when the Dharug language is at risk of extinction.
Recently read Open Your Heart to Country, a picture book by Dharug language activist Jasmine Seymour. A beautifully poetic invitation to appreciate Dharug culture and Country. I was intrigued by the art style, which blends pencils, pastels, paint and collage. Serene and uplifting.

This is so sad to hear. Liberation Station was an amazing place to find books no one else created space for. For anyone in the RDU area, try and attend their pop ups when you can 📚💙

Can’t say I didn’t see some of this coming, but it sure is disturbing to see it happening in real time.
I don't even know what to say about the SPD thing except that it feels like things in publishing are breaking faster than they can be patched up, and like it is going to get much worse before it gets even marginally better.

Love seeing more contemporary short story collections in the MG/YA space.
My review of the middle school short story collection “You Are Here: Connecting Flights” edited by Ellen Oh is posted on Instagram. This book is a dozen stories about the Asian-American experience as a pre-teen or teenager. Good stuff.

Did you publish a short story in 2023 that included arthropods? Are they central to the story?

Did you know that I am editing “Year’s Best Arthropod Short Fiction”? Did you know that you or your publisher can submit the story for consideration until April 2nd?

I'm two books deep into a horror franchise and I didn't even think I liked horror 💙📚??? Anyone else read Maniscalco's Stalking Jack the Ripper series? Am I setting myself up for heartbreak in later books???

Kinda late of a post, but I finished Charming as a Verb late February, and it was 100% worth it. A fantastic romance from a male POV with a charming love interest who is more than just a shell for male fantasy fulfillment. Highly recommend for lovers of YA romance

Good morning!

Many small publishers are committed to uplifting diverse voices and sharing weird, genre-bending stories

Yes, you fucking are racist.

I've known many people with psychosis and many folks with substance abuse problems. Racism was not part of the presentation.
