Landing..!
Love seeing how differently they all look in their various landing moments. This is a relative close-up; zoomed out it becomes obvious this was peak drought time and the lake was now a puddle. Canada Geese had found a rare bit of water! 🪶

One of my favorite things for years was trekking to see the Grandmother tree out by the lake.
She finally succumbed to multi-year drought, but for decades, coming to visit this tree was a highlight. So photogenic, & sitting by her felt like home.

Spent all summer trying to capture the actual color of Munstead Wood rose... always too red.
Still not perfect, but yesterday's late afternoon light got a touch of the violet that is so clear in person. So fragrant, and still blooming! ❤️💜

The tea plant is blooming!
Many more flowers, now this plant's getting more sun (neighbor cut back a tree).
Camellia sinensis. 🌱
So far, harvesting about two cups of tea a year.
I minimally process (wilt in sun) some new leaves each Spring and drink it as white tea.
