Tony Romo just said he thinks whoever wins this game has a shot at going to the Super Bowl which is in fact how the postseason is structured

This first round has featured two crimes against offensive football, one team self destructing to hand the game over to a team they previously beat, and two complete wastes of time.

Hope you're all proud of yourselves, college football.

They used Notre Dame for outrage bait for 6 weeks. They flat out lied about their playoff positioning and then pulled the rug out from under them by invoking something they'd ignored the whole year.

Now they're mad ND won't play into the script and allow them to profit off it.

Screw them all.

The playoff could be 32 teams and Northwestern would never sniff it. I'd probably dislike successful programs too in those shoes.
"I'm glad they're home. I'm glad they're going nowhere... I do hate them, today more than ever." - Michael Wilbon, who is not sad that Notre Dame got snubbed by the CFP

I'm prepared for ND to get left out of the playoff. But I'll tell you this: if you think Notre Dame fans are annoying online now, just wait until Oklahoma or Alabama (or even Miami) gets dump trucked out of the playoff. Every metric on earth says ND is better than they are.

Eli Drinkwitz is fine, I guess, but this is absolutely wild for a guy who's really never beaten anyone aside from winning an exhibition Cotton Bowl once.

I knew Kelly would never win it all at LSU. I did think he'd do better than this.
BREAKING: LSU is firing Brian Kelly, multiple sources tell @brucefeldmancfb.bsky.social.

Frank Wilson is expected to be the interim head coach.

What's sad is even when they literally say what they're going to do, the people who need to believe them either won't, or will actively cheer it on
it blows my mind that anyone is still pretending like trump is anything but a dictator, here is steve bannon talking about how they, in clear and certain terms, intends to install trump as president in 2028

Someone in a ND fan chat I'm in made a great point tonight - for years under Brian Kelly the team had the resume but people would dismiss them on eye test. Now under Freeman, they consistently pass the eye test but the resume is used against them.

Interesting to have gotten both perspectives.

What a depressing thing for this fan base to celebrate but here we are!
The Carolina Panthers have a record above .500 for the first time since October 2021.

That settles it. The Brewers are witches.

Let the record show that after James Franklin tried to little-brother Marcus Freeman at the Orange Bowl press conference, he never beat another power conference opponent.

This is sorta funny, I guess, but the L flag is blue. If you're going to go to the trouble of trolling, you might as well get it right.
The Brewers broke out the L flag 🤣

Still…if you said a Cubs bullpen game, on the road, in a decisive game, allowed 3 runs through 7…I’d take it. At some point, your fucking hitters need to fucking hit.
October 12, 2025 at 2:27 AM
Listening on the radio so have no idea what the heck just happened with the Cubs but it seems inevitable they'll lose by 1 after that stupid nonsense.

I'm not all that smart but I looked this up and plenary authority means limitless authority. As in unlimited. As in no one is allowed to stop it.

Seems like a problem.
plenary authority over what Stephen?!? OVER WHAT STEPHEN

This is a sitting secretary of defense refusing to answer whether he gave the military the order that they could shoot unarmed protesters, in case you're wondering where we are as a country at the moment.

Also, bravo Elissa Slotkin.
Well that's one of the fucking scariest things we've ever seen. Didn't even get much news coverage as far as we can tell.

I don't know if Petitti intended this, but in a way it might help his conference. Now that they're the only one not requiring 10 power-conference foes per year - and the only one consistently pretending slop like Purdue, Rutgers, UCLA, etc. are real opponents - they might get more teams in the CFP.
In 2026 all Power 4 conferences will play 9 league games. Big Ten will be only 1 not requiring 1 non-conference power opponent. That likely won’t change. “It hasn’t been discussed,” Big Ten source told @On3sports on B1G requiring 10th power conference foe

While Big 12, SEC and ACC requires 10 power opponents in 2026, Big Ten has no plans to do the same
The Big Ten has no plans to require a tenth power conference opponent on its schedule like the ACC, Big 12 and SEC.

It's not that hard, folks - your freedom ends where it infringes on others' freedom.

If you don't want to get vaccinated, whatever - then stay the hell out of public life and especially stay away from my children.
Support for vaccinating kids against infectious diseases dropped from 81% in 1991 to 51% last year

A lot of people On Here who don’t know anything about the economics of baseball are being loud and wrong about the need for a salary cap.

Very strange to see a bunch of so-called progressives cape for billionaire owners crying poverty instead of supporting a labor union.
