I know these platforms need money to operate, but I stopped using GiveMN when I found out the fee was something like 6.9%, and I can usually give money to organizations a cheaper way. I don't know if that is still true. Is there a NH equivalent you have to deal with?

I was a training assistant back when they still let students teach other students to drive. It was an unexpectedly good job for the most part. I even got paid software development experience that helped me down that unintended career path.

He may have some thoughts on the repercussions and the U.S. Attorney's reaction if, hypothetically, he had presented a purported indictment to a judge without the grand jury having seen that document.

Funded by a student fee and other funding (including federal) available generally to transit agencies, as I recall. I believe Cambus had the second highest ridership in the state, behind Des Moines' system. That was a long time ago, though.

That would be New Mexico, not Minnesota, which explains why I had not heard of the clinic.

I was unfamiliar with the term, but having now read the abstract, I know I need to read the paper because I'm pretty sure I argue about this at work daily.

Your D.C. voice mail is full. I was calling to thank you for opposing the bill where we got only empty promises and further to urge you to replace the Senate minority leader and minority whip.

I thought arbitration was binding.

I've been listening to these lectures, and they're great. Thank you for all the work you and your colleagues put into this course!

I suspect you are familiar with @kkjetelina.bsky.social's work in connecting with some of these folks, but in case I'm wrong, yourlocalepidemiologist.substack.com/p/odd-bedfel... was a striking account of this work.

Didn't Louise Mensch "announce" this years ago?

I'm not going to look it up, but I suspect you won election by a larger number of votes than she did.

We have a dual heat-pump/propane system. It's fairly new. In the coldest parts of winter, it would be unable to heat the home on just the heat pump. I'm taking on faith that the automatic switch-over is set optimally (20 degrees F), but the unit is barely effective at that temperature.

Rural MN may have a different experience here, but also we don't need ads like this.

So is that the playbook now? Delay answering the petition then deny the court jurisdiction? It sounds like every habeas needs to come with an emergency TRO application then. I'm sure the courts will love it. /end

Counsel eventually finds out and moves for emergency TRO. At hearing, government counsel claims to know nothing. They eventually file stuff. Judge says they broke the law but "I don't know, man, he's on Mexico, what are you gonna do?" /2
September 28, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Let's see if I have this right. Petitioner files for habeas while in U.S. custody in Guantanemo. The government doesn't enter an appearance or otherwise respond for over a week, during which they move petitioner twice, the second time to Mexico, without notifying petitioner's counsel. /1

That's why we're wearing these glasses.

I haven't read the DFL constitution in a while, but I thought all normal party-unit meetings were accessible to the public. I'm not sure why anyone thinks prohibiting social media about those activities is OK.

Not the biggest problem, of course. What you and others experienced is unacceptable.

Our mighty little rural organizing unit was well aware of the gender-balance rules, so I'm not sure what the mystery is.

It depends greatly on which group and (in some cases) on the skill of the parliamentarian. If the meeting doesn't _have_ one, and it's contentious, best of luck. That hasn't been my experience, but it has been several years.
