A series of clarifications from Bloomberg editor Jason Schreier has confirmed that Guerrilla Games is developing its own standalone multiplayer Horizon title, separate from the newly announced MMO project being handled by NCSoft. The comments follow the reveal of Horizon Steel Frontiers at G-Star 2025, which prompted questions about how many multiplayer entries Sony intends to produce for the franchise. Responding to posts on social media, Schreier wrote that the two projects should not be confused. In his words, “Just to clear up some confusion I've seen, the newly announced NCSoft Horizon MMO is different from the multiplayer Horizon game that's in development at Guerrilla Games.
