“One of the most recent actions that Zuckerberg’s supposedly emboldened company took was to banish tampons from office men’s rooms,” Zeynep Tufekci writes about Meta. “That is the most snowflake move I’ve heard of in a long time.”
Opinion | Mark Zuckerberg’s Macho Posturing Looks a Lot Like Cowardice

Color guide from Preacher #16, Vertigo in 1996. Drawn by Steve Dillon, and colored by me with Doctor Martin's dyes and gouache. Back then, we colored color guides on photocopies, and had to write the YRBK color percentages (CMYK, or YMCK.) for the separators.

The magic of Ohtani v. Trout in the World Baseball Classic was precisely because an endless strip of stars had to align just for that AB to happen
From @theathletic.bsky.social: The Golden At-Bat rule would change everything about how baseball — the ultimate team sport — has always worked. We broke down how it would work and how it's likely to be received by players, front offices and the baseball gods. nyti.ms/3Vj7gJW

The part of this conversation really driving me crazy is the comparison to other sports. Judge getting an AB in the ninth isn't like Mahomes or LeBron getting to cook in the fourth quarter—Mahomes and LeBron don't have roles where failure can be assumed 70% of the time! Just fundamentally off.

One minor nitpick which I think keeps GNX from being a really good album is the sheer amount of songs where the chorus is just a single phrase repeated multiple times. Repetition legitimizes, I know, but I don’t think that’s true in this case. It almost feels like Kendrick was a liiiittle lazy

Just saw Wicked. Yup. New GOAT Glinda.
Tangential take: Alli Mauzey is the best Glinda, and that isn't particularly close either. I am, however, a massive Ariana Grande fan, and I am fully ready to coronate Ari as the GOAT Glinda once I see the movie

My #Wicked take is that Stephanie J. Block is, without question, the GOAT Elphaba. She understands something that I don't think any other Elphaba actress I've seen does, which is that Elphaba is not an underdog. Elphaba is a winner who is trapped.

As a Filipino baseball fan, this is yet another addition to my ever-expanding list of why it’s such a tragedy that Filipinos don’t play baseball. There is at least on Jhoestynxon Garcia in every single public school in the country.
I’m contractually obligated to tell you guys the Boston Red Sox added Jhoestynxon Garcia to their 40-man roster and his nickname is “The Password.”

The quiet part out loud about Mike Tyson is that he is a convicted rapist, and I would never judge anyone for finding that unforgivable. Still, there’s something to be said for how he took his conviction head-on, did his jail time, and came out of it with a deep examination of the self.
