the elevation of “separation of powers” as the paramount value of the constitution is just rhetorical justification for presidential dictatorship, since that is what you have when the legislative branch cannot constrain the exercise of executive power through law.

Yes, nothing screams transparency more than the Attorney General and FBI Director summoning a member of Congress to the White House so they could try to convince her to help hide documents that might implicate the president in a scheme to sex traffic underage girls with a pedophile
Q: Given you answers about transparency, why are WH officials meeting with Boebert in an effort to get her to not sign the Epstein files petition?

LEAVITT: Doesn't it show transparency that members of the Trump administration are willing to brief members of Congress?

Today’s Executive Order creating a *nationwide* military “quick reaction force” and setting up an online portal to permit random fascist vigilantes to join soldiers is one of the scariest things I’ve seen in U.S. politics in my adult life. Why is it not getting more attention?

This headline should read “Israel starves Gazan children by blocking aide, killing civilians at aid sites.” Instead the title and subtitle don’t even mention Israel, and leave impression that the hunger is the result of a ‘conflict’ rather than one belligerent’s—Israel’s—systematic blocking of aid.

Honestly, the NY Times outdid them. Their lede actually makes it seem as if Republicans were against the bill. They don't say "some" Republicans. They don't say "Despite approving it". To a casual reader, skimming headlines, they make it seem as if GOP objected, Democrats did nothing.
Incredible.

Today the U.S. Military conducted a “show of presence” on U.S. soil. They issued a “high” threat assessment for the “Los Angeles Joint Operations Area,” otherwise known as LA, the U.S. city. But based on their mission summary, you’d think they were planning to deploy to Fallujah ‘04 or Kabul ‘21.
I've obtained a trove of leaked documents about today's federal crackdown on Los Angeles' MacArthur Park. One revelation is its codename: "Operation Excalibur"
