This 👇 I will write to my Labour MP too. How low can they stoop? Taking people for a ride following Reform and Conservatives in scapegoating a tiny minority. Labour should focus on the real issues. They won’t win votes but they’ll certainly lose many if they continue to pander to the far right.
🌍 42.5m refugees
Over 70% of them are hosted by low- and middle-income countries.

🇬🇧 548k refugees
= 0.78% of the UK population.

It is not refugees who tear our country apart, it is the mainstreaming of far right policies. And that’s a risk to all of us.

The most important thing is that it is OUR money he is trying to take. It is OUR BBC. We must defend it with all our might.

Today 16 years ago, I interviewed for and got my current job. I’ve been at Sheffield Hallam University for 20 years. Unfortunately, today I was on a picket line outside, striking. Main objective: secure agreement from my employer that there won’t be redundancies until at least Spring 2026.

Just in case anyone is listening, please note that UK universities cannot operate successfully on the basis of continuous reduction of academic staff and academic staff pay. No amount of staff wellness sessions will change this.
