We built a team to represent a coalition of unions, non-profits, & local governments in the largest lawsuit challenging Trump’s authority to remake the government without congressional approval.

Trump's efforts to dismantle the federal government are unconstitutional and we will see him in court.

I am begging blue state governors to have lunch this week with your adjutant general of the National Guard.

Cannot stress enough how important this relationship is going to be in the near future.

Given that there is no civil disorder, insurrection or armed rebellion at present, senior military leaders need to consult with their JAG officers *now* about the potential need to disobey unlawful orders. They should also consult with Democrats on the House and Senate Armed Services Committees.
Here it comes.

This thread and the piece at the end are incredible. SCOTUS ruled just before 1am and Chris wrote a thread through the night and published a full, polished analysis at 4:41am.

I must note that Chris wrote this on the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere’s ride — to the hour.
BREAKING: SCOTUS orders the government not to remove anyone from the United States under Trump’s Alien Enemies Act proclamation who is a part of the potential class in the Northern District of Texas case until further order of the court.

Only Thomas and Alito note their dissent.
