BBS hub page for the Scottish Green Party's co-leadership election is now live. Unlike other parties, Green Co-Leaders only serve 2 year terms, but 2019 was the last time there was a contested ballot. With Harvie standing down after 17 years, big changes coming!

Pride has always been a protest and it was a mistake to lose sight of that and allow it to be turned into little more than a PR op, a pinkwashing exercise, for the very establishment and the powerful who have demonstrated how they will turn on the community the moment it suits them

We can’t keep ignoring the link between alcohol and cancer.

In the UK, alcohol causes around 17,000 cancer diagnoses each year.

Sign the World Cancer Research Fund petition calling for a National Alcohol Strategy to save lives.

I’m glad to see our party’s briefing and bullying problem getting called out.

Too many people have been made ill, forced out of involvement, and driven to quit jobs or roles through bullying and bad behaviour.

Any new leader needs to lead our culture in a new direction.

📢 All devolved Scottish benefits will be uprated this year. Here's a quick graphic to show the new rates.

🙌 The Scottish Government are also uprating the devolved Winter Fuel Payment, the first time a Winter Fuel Payment has been permanently uprated in the UK in over 20 years.

I mean the chart of Holyrood voting over time makes for remarkable viewing at the moment. There's a lot of rather desperate denial about the direction of voter flow (and it's always important to remember churn exists) but it does look like at least some of the direction is... pretty clear.

Long Read: A Plea for Plausible Polling

Recent FindOutNow polling has been obvious bollocks. Scotland doesn't get enough polling that we can afford to have complete rubbish distorting our discourse.

Some supermarkets are advertising these products, despite being told not to by the Govt in 2018. Heated tobacco is likely to be less harmful than cigarettes but more harmful than other nicotine products. 2/3
