It’s actually a moral imperative. If you can run for office, you must.

Women only hold 25 percent of the 500,000 elected positions in America. Because we’re not at the table, we’re on the menu.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

This state is home to 6 million acres of peatlands, more than any other state in the contiguous U.S. Can you guess which state? 🤔

What's happening now is designed to overwhelm, discourage and disorient us.

There are evidence-based practices that can help center us in the eye of the storm so we can be more effective in responding. If you could use one now, here's a series of brief, daily meditations I can't recommend enough:

It may feel weird or somehow improper to talk about your art or your writing, but we need it. It can’t be wall-to-wall nightmare all the time. Art is both counterweight and context. It’s escape and enlightenment and a mirror of our own exasperation. We need it. We NEED it. Keep showing us.

There is a lot going on right now and it’s normal to feel overwhelmed. Just remember the 20-60-10 rule!

After 20 minutes of work, take a 60-minute stroll through the forest and hug 10 trees (at least). They need love too!
