Republicans Want to Scare You off Mass Transit. Cars Are Scarier.
A fatal stabbing on Charlotte Light Rail set off a panic about the risks of public transportation. There’s just one thing: It’s worlds safer than cars.

Something is changing here. Im hoping it's reflected in the general populace who isn't hyper tuned in to politics.
Both domestic and international news outlets are not telling you about the American pushback.

For example, did you hear about the 15k people who just came to the "Fight Oligarchy and Authoritarianism" rally with Bernie and AOC in Arizona?

Unheard of outside of campaign seasons.

This administration has no teeth when you actually stand up against them.

Canada & Mexico have proven this. And now New York is proving this.

it’s awesome how every single argument against congestion pricing has been directly disproven now that we have hard data

This saves us pennies while we still spend millions wastefully on highway expansion and other automobile infrastructure. We should be adjusting that spending to Public Transit, which saves governments at least $8 for every dollar spent.

Maybe @govbobferguson.bsky.social should focus on that...
This will buy us 36’-11 7/16” of highway.
We just saved $70,000 by canceling an order placed last year to replace the carpet in the Governor’s Office.

That's just one example of how thorough my team has been in scouring state spending. This work is critical in the face of the biggest budget deficit in state history.

This is a post about toll evaders and speeders.
He paid nearly $300 for a lock picking kit to help with his struggling small business as a cat burglar.

Only the tools didn't work! And now, despite repeated calls, the seller won't refund his money!

Trump has not "killed" congestion relief tolls.
He is attempting to do something he doesn't have the authority to do.

The media needs to stop framing his actions as definitive and complete. And start telling the complete story that he is making ATTEMPTS.

HE DOES NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY.

Really wish people would move back to craigslist

It will have benefits both now and in the future.

Public parking is funded by all of us. Our tax dollars maintain streets and asphalt primarily for cars, yet when we park bikes or other non-car transport, there is often judgment. Parking should serve everyone, not just cars. We all deserve equal access and respect when using these public spaces.

Signs request behavior.
Solid design demands it.
Ever wonder what these mini roundabouts are for? They’re not just for looks—they’re traffic calming tools designed to slow drivers down naturally, without relying on signs. By adding a visual and physical cue, they make streets safer, more beautiful, and keep drivers alert. Like a better speed bump.
