Got asked by my economics teacher if I've been doing any writing lately. Made me realize how little I have been. Remember: don't force yourself to get everything done before you write. You'll never get to it that way.

F*ck every comedian, actor, singer, and politician who sets their morals aside for a paycheck. You can say you support minorities all you want, but when you actively support people who put their money towards harming oppressed groups, your words turn up empty.

Replacing the word "stolen" with "conquered" does not make it okay. Regardless of what kind of vocabulary you want to use, we slaughtered millions of Native Americans and forced them to assimilate into our culture and abandon theirs. White people were not the good guys. Get off your high horse.

The people I envy the most are those who can see a situation where they embarrassed themselves or did something wrong and move past it. What do you mean you're not ruminating about it 5 years later?

Refusing to mourn someone is not the same as celebrating their death. Am I terribly upset that someone who advocated for so much hate and so much violence is gone? No. Am I upset about the way in which it happened? Absolutely. I feel for his family and the people who had to witness it happen.

"Obama/Biden did the same thing." A previous president doing something shitty does not give the current one an excuse to do the same. It wasn't okay then, it isn't okay now. Just because you're incapable of criticizing your party leader doesn't mean everybody else is as well.

"When Obama/Biden did the same thing, dems didn't say anything!" We did, actually, because we don't blindly worship politicians without acknowledging when they do wrong. If a political figure does something shitty, I'm gonna call them out on it, regardless of party.
