I've always been a 'you have to win' guy. I was agnostic about Corbyn because moral purity isn't worth a hill of beans if you keep losing elections. I was always happy for Labour to be centrist in order to get the Tories out.
But this government... What was the point of winning?

Of the many reasons why I'm gutted by the Labour Government, this is a big one. They talked a good game on 'green new deal' during the campaign but now, nothing.
Apparently the best thing Starmer and Reeves can do for the economy is cutting benefits for the most vulnerable. This is beyond them.

Someone needs to invent some kind of online calculator whereby we Brits can put in our recent healthcare appointments/meds/experiences and it’ll calculate what it would cost on average in the USA. Just to hammer home how bloody lucky we are to have the NHS and how fiercely we need to protect it.
