We have truly not yet figured out how to cope with a person or institution that is "aware" of climate change, "accepts the science", but then decides to continue actively worsening it anyway

“You don’t look sick” Thanks that’s the goal. But here is what you don’t see. I cancel plans, I rest for hours after a shower, I forget basic words mid sentence, I grieve a version of myself barely remember, fight everyday against a body that doesn’t cooperate. It is not just tired. It is chronic illness.

I appreciate this article's point on thinking more fluidly about narrative structure and how multiple forms can map onto the same story. And Jane Alison's book is indeed mind-opening; personally, it helped me to realize my current novel-in-progress is best served by a spiral narrative. 💜
