I believe most women have gone through a Not Like The Other Girls phase in their youths while trying to figure out who they are; however adult women who sabotage other women in order to get scraps of validation from men are another level awful.

I recently lost a friend who I knew had "notlikeothergirl" tendencies. I chose to look past these things because she grew up in a very traditional household, and I thought she'd eventually grow out of it.

We were friends for five years, and she threw me under the bus any chance she got. I cry to her about a guy for three months and then introduce them? She flirts with him in front of me. I tell her about a guy I was super into who it didn't work out with? She's in his IG dms and showing the dms off to me. I try to be honest with her about a guy who I think she's scaring (she was basically stalking him - got his # from a friend and started calling him, would show up in places she knew he would be at)? She tells me I'm not supportive and gives me the silent treatment. Most recently, she cut me off over a miscommunication and has been acting high-and-mighty every since.

During the discussion about our friendship

ending, she called me overly-emotional and said I wasn't being "practical or logical" because I was upset that my friend of five years wasn't giving me the benefit of the doubt even after I'd treated her so well for FIVE YEARS. I know she felt like a boss with that one, like every man on Earth was applauding her for being so "level-headed." She gave a million and one excuses to the boy she was stalking to explain why he wasn't approaching her himself (she claimed it was respectful" that he would never disrespect their religion by talking to her) but couldn't make even one "excuse" for me, not that I needed one because I had an explanation, but it's ridiculous.

My sister, too. Biggest fucking pick-me I've ever met. She'll lie about me WHILE I'M STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO HER. For some reason, everyone believes her. She talks bad about random girls and makes fun of how they look. She learns personal info about other women so she can spread it to ruin their reputation (ex. I told her my ex gave me an infection (not an STD, he was just unhygienic) and she told everyone I had a STD, even strangers who don't know me). She also told my mom I was doing cocaine in college (I've never done that?????) just because she wanted to make me look bad.

After all of this, all I've learned is that being friends with girls like this is NEVER worth it. They will throw you to the wolves any chance they get. They don't care about you. They want you to open up so they can learn your "flaws" and use them to feel superior to you. They are deeply insecure and male-centered and they will always prioritize men over you, even men who barely know them or who don't even give t
