Do students know that different forms of misconduct are wrong?
Many don’t understand recycling or sham paraphrasing is a form of #plagiarism. While prevalence is down, (2nd chart) - many students are still engaging in behaviours they know are wrong.

57% of students admitted verbatim copying from GenAI (& these students are also engaging in other forms of #misconduct). Students who cheated before, still cheat with AI. Having AI detector at the uni doesn’t have a statistical impact
