I really enjoyed speaking with @reconditerose.bsky.social about @valkeyio.bsky.social project’s 9.0 release. She made complex systems feel clear and grounded - even explaining hash-field expiration with a gaming analogy about players in a lobby and how data expires over time. So cool. bit.ly/47lvAjB
Valkey 9.0 – open-source velocity and the pursuit of real-time resilience
The latest Valkey release refines how distributed systems scale and recover, introducing fine-grained expiration, atomic slot migration, and a roadmap toward true data durability.

Am enduringly fascinated by the way digital distribution channels still blur this indie boundary, and what it means for epistemic confidence, democracy, regulation etc - back in the day this was all called "user-generated content" and interesting to see the traditional market has still not caught up
The British Podcast Awards featured a strange “glitch” that everyone found amusing; but has interesting implications. Most of the winners were upstairs in the cheap balcony seats, meaning there was a few minutes’ delay on almost EVERY award as the winners went down the back stairs to the stage. >>

On of my fave podcasts in our series to date... @alyx.diginomica.com brought out the tech founder side of Daniel Dines... hearing a seasoned RPA practitioner talk about what's real or not with agentic AI and how these technologies work together, or not.... a good listen for sure.
“We achieved 93% Clean Core. The industry benchmark is 80%". UiPath crushed SAP implementation best practices while automating 85% of critical finance workflows. Listen to Daniel Dines talk AI agents and explain a 'customer-zero' strategy in our podcast hosted by @alyx.diginomica.com bit.ly/423aHHW

On Sunday, the UK government will send an emergency alert test to every mobile and tablet that's 4G and 5G compatible. The test will set off a loud siren-like alert for roughly 10 seconds, even if your device is on silent or do not disturb.

To make sure your device stays silent, follow this guide ⬇️
If you have a secret or hidden phone, the government's Emergency Alerts could reveal your device, even if it's on silent or do not disturb.

The government is testing emergency alerts on Sunday 7 September. If you're worried this could reveal a phone, you can follow this guide to turn off the alerts
