I started following Evan and Assigned Media back on the old site and I would highly recommend to any cis, straight person who is seeking to improve themselves. Easy to understand, written for eveyone, and dedicated to the Truth. Trans rights now and forever
We know everyone is asking for your money this month, but here's a twist: We're NOT asking you to donate in December, we're asking you to spread the word.

Help the trans people and allies who don't know Assigned Media's reputation for excellence and originality in trans news find us!

Years ago I was at a literary event and someone read from a short story in which the Rapture happens and everyone with a beard is taken.

Doesn't matter what religion they are, or how they behave. Just... anyone sporting a beard.

It was pretty hilarious. Wish I could find it again.

When I decided to start a fantasy worldbuilding project I was faced with the challenge of learning to draw environments. As a character artist this was way out of my comfort zone. I still have a lot to learn, but just making them exist is half the battle! You can make it good later!

Accidentally sharing the wrong screen in zoom to reveal that I'm just listening to the Kim Possible theme song on repeat.

In a democracy, government employees can voice respectful dissent to their leadership. But today, EPA leadership retaliated against its own employees for expressing disagreement w/ the admin’s actions & policy directions. Punishing gov't employees for this expression is an alarming development. 🧵

Take a listen and seriously consider it. While this is not an uncommon practice, I am glad people are beginning to speak up about it.

What take would you choose to argue on jubilee with total confidence that you’d crush 20 opponents?

The only thing Spotify is good for these days is doing chores, but you get a break every time Smart Shuffle makes a dumb recommendation that ruins the mood.

Republicans in Utah commissioned an investigation into gender-affirming care for trans youth after banning it in 2023.

They're now rejecting the findings of that investigation which showed access to care reduced suicides and improved "positive mental health and psychosocial functioning outcomes."
Utah lawmakers’ own study found gender-affirming care benefits trans youth. Will they lift the treatment ban?
The Utah Legislature's own newly-released study found that gender-affirming care benefits trans youth. Now, will lawmakers lift the treatment ban?

Nearly every House Republican just voted to kick millions of Americans off Medicaid. Why? To fund tax breaks for the rich.

your energy actually is finite and spending time fighting about the former president while the current president is putting this country in a wood chipper seems like a bad use of it

Roughly 4.7 million full-time workers in the United States rely on the SNAP to meet their basic food needs. These individuals typically work 35 hours or more per week for at least 50 weeks annually, yet their earnings are insufficient to lift them above the income thresholds for SNAP eligibility.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.

Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.
