This hits home for me, as I was a literal trailer park kid when I got accepted to the University of Chicago. HOWEVER, I was also going to one of the best private high schools in the country at the time (on scholarship), so I was a trailer park kid with elite kid camo. I know that this mattered.

This hits home for me, as I was a literal trailer park kid when I got accepted to the University of Chicago. HOWEVER, I was also going to one of the best private high schools in the country at the time (on scholarship), so I was a trailer park kid with elite kid camo. I know that this mattered.

Crypto mined in shale patch, powered by incredibly cheap gas. Completely predictable. What I did not see coming is they will be getting carbon credits for burning the gas. If that doesn't sound like the carbon credit market is broken, I'm not sure what would.

Nice EIA post today on diff natural gas pricing hubs around the US. Explains the idiosyncratic pricing factors at each hub, and has brief mention of where pipelines occasionally hit capacity constraints. But, sadly, nothing on persistent Northern California price premium.
